    Default ??

    Hello,
Am after some info and advice please. Am thinking of becoming a childminder and was wondering about the cost of becoming qualified and how much i could expect to earn?

Also i have a dog, would this be a big problem?

    Any advice greatly appreciated, thanks.

    Welcome to the forum!

Have a nosey around the 'starting childminding' section for lots of information about registering.

Give your local childminding coordinator a ring (often you can contact them via a Children's Centre) to find out more.

Don't forget to let us know how you get on

    Hello & welcome,
Having a dog is not a problem. You will need to assess any risks to the children (dog poo in the garden, jumping up at children, stealing toys (or is that just my dog!!), whether or not to use a crate, etc). You know your dog, and the risks involved.
    Good luck
