    Default gripe water

    hello,

mum was in a rush this morning and said there is gripe water in the changing bag incase lo gets upset. she has given her some yesterday because lo had problem's with filling her nappy.

i have never heard of gripe water and just wondered if i am allowed to give it to her. in my policies it states "prescibed medicine and calpol". but i have permission for teething gel from one parent.

    thank you!

i had never heard of it before. first i thought it is to rub onto lo's tummy

ok, i will leave it. she had a full nappy earlier. so there shouldn't be any need for it.

I used to swear by it for my 3 who all suffered from colic, but I wouldn't be using it for constipation. I'm sure prunes or fruit juice would be better

I used this on my older two, didnt know they still made it. I was bought up on it, so would be happy to use, although it would need permission. I always gave it for wind, didnt know it helped constipation
