    Default disability/special needs toys

    Hello, Does anyone have any recommendations of toys that show children/adults with disabilities or special needs? Something that the children will actually playwith or use. I have a couple of puzzles and a set of 6 disabled figures and a little people person in a wheelchair, but they are never played with or even looked at, it would be nice if I had something that showed disabilities that the children actually used.

    My kids love the block people

    Or what about happyland? The hospital set is particularly good for diversity

    Mine love the happyland too, the little girl in the wheelchair sparks some very interesting play. I am also hoping to get the build a bear wheelchair when I can afford it, as they play with the bears alot.

    That's the one I'm after, nice to know it is well received. I also have glasses from the BABW that they use on the bears and the dolls.

    Thanks everyone, I love the build a bear wheelchair, the children all love playing with bears cooking for them etc, so think I will get this after I have been paid for August. Will have a look at the happyland stuff next time I am in ELC, but might wait for a sale for them. Thanks again.

    def happy land

    I have a photo style book in with the books which the children can read also. It's got family friends in (given permission) which I think helps the children see it's normal IYSWIM.
