just had a phone call for childcare for a 13mnth old.

1,iv been pretty lucky since i started, 1st mindee had from day 1 still have him now.

2, the other kiddies iv had since iv started,iv kinda knew the parents so felt so easy meeting em

3,iv not minded a young child theyve been over 2

wat do i ask , wat do i say, wat do i do lol

im soooooooo incredibly nervous can you tell

You'll be fine - don't worry - play with the child and let the parent look at your paperwork then answer any questions they have

Dont panic, you will be fine.

Make sure you interact with the child. I find that this goes a long way with parents.

Can I hold your hand? I've got a parent coming today as well at 4pm and I've not interviewed a stranger since last September. Any other mindees have come from people I know.

Have a look at this, when I first started it really helped me to prepare for the questions I might be asked so I had the answers prepared.

I know have this in my welcome booklet as a starter for parents, it usually answers most of their questions.

boo, theyve cancelled on me!

it was the nan who had arranged the meetin,
and it was the nan who rung back saying daughter cant make it now,
so i said did she want to re arrange,but she no daughter has my number she will call me her self.
