    Default what would you do?

    hi everyone!

I am not quite sure what to do so I am hoping you will help...

A (1 year old) came to see me with his mum (or the other way round ) a couple of weeks ago.She was really interested so am I to start in June-Mon & Wed.

Anyway, C (1 year old) started with me 2 weeks ago and her mum mentioned that she MAY want and extra day from June for every other Monday, but it depends on her mum, how she copes with looking afer C.

So, my dilema is...do I take on A as he is really really sweet and has the biggest eyes...and tell C's mum, "well. sorry, but I cant wait for you to decide if you want C minded or not"

or...Shall I take A on...and if C's mum wants the extra day , I will ask for a variation? I would then have 4 under 5 on every other Monday for 7 1/2 hours, term time only.

Sorry if this is confusing, my hubby doesn't keep up any more.

    Thanks for reading.

I think I would take on "A" because it's for 2 days and "C's" mum only wants every other Monday - maybe.

You've got to think of yourself and like you said, you can always ask for a variation.

I'd take the definite work and then see what happens with regards to the other mother possibly needing an extra day. A bird in the hand...so they say.
Why is "phonics" not spelled the way it sounds?

I would take the new child (A) on! if there is no guarantee that C's mum will definately want you, and you would be losing out on 2 days minding if you turn A's mum down and possibly not get C the extra day!

    UPDATE:

Just thought I would give you an update...I decided 3 children under 2 is enough for me ...so

I plucked up the courage to speak to C's mum...I said that another mum would like me to have her lo on Mondays so I will have to decide who to give the place to...

guess what she said : "That's absolutely fine, I wouldn't want you to keep a place open for me when I am not even sure if i will need you"!

I was sooooo relieved! I wished I had talked to her earlier as I could have slept better!

And I am a very happy bunny!
Thank you everyone for your help!
