    Default Head lice

    Ewww I have just discovered I have head lice, only a few and have treated with no marks solution, Can I check through the childrens hair or do I need permission?

    I don't know, my daughters pre-school checked her head without permission. It didn't even occur to me to think that they would need to, but then it's physical contact so perhaps you do.

    I would however put the onus back on the parents and at pick up time say that you have a case of headlice in the setting and could they check their children for lice and treat if nessecary. If they aren't sure what to look for state you are happy to help. Keep an eye out for the next few days for scratching children.

    You're not supposed to look without written permission.

    You can sometimes spot them scurrying around... or children have scratch marks on the warm bits behind ears and back of neck.

    oh i use to check with my mindees they had blonde hair so could see right thru anyway lol, funnily enough iv still got 3 blondies so would still see them hehe
