Default how do you cover your radiator

Is this an issue for childminders as it is for nurseries?

    I don't cover my radiators...

I have it on my daily risk assessment that I check the temperature stats throughout the day in case they have been fiddled with.

I have a little electric fire in the conservatory and during the winter I state in my RA that it is on low when needed.

It will not burn a child on low.

i usually cover mine with my backside! i'm always leaning on radiators. lol.

seriously tho, i dont use a cover, my heating comes on before mindees get here and are only really hot when first put on so have cooled to a reasonable temp by time littlies come. i do sometimes push my coffee table up to the one in the lounge and if they really wanted to they could get past it but they dont.

I cover my radiator in the hall with a quilted radiator cover I got from TTS (I think).
My rads are thermostatically controlled but in the winter when heating is on all day this rad can be touched by the children so RA says cover it.

None are covered apart from the one in the playroom - this has a wooden cover which works great as an extra shelf where we can put crafts etc ready to go home with. All radiators have a thermostatic control so if they get too hot they can be turned down

Am I the only one whose are permanently covered with lots of wet washing? Feel like I live in a chinese laundry in winter.

Mine are covered - but as long as you are checking them it's okay to leave them uncovered.

We have loads of radiators in our house (newish 3 yrs old) and it did cross my mind at how much it would cost to cover them all BUT only one of them is always hot as can't be controlled and is in the upstairs hall so we have a cover on it similar to bushpigs. The rest are controlled by the thermostat and tbh having so many of them we don't need them on high anyway!
