Not sure if this is the right place to post this, (please feel free to move it if necessary Pauline)
Community playthings have some interesting booklets that can be downloaded here. Whilst they are generally aimed at nurseries they have some interesting ideas that can be adapted for a home environment.
I really wish I had the money to purchase some of their wooden blocks but they are soooooo expensive.

My current module for my foundation degree is developing the indoor environment and community playthings supports current research on how an environment should be set up. I love all their stuff but would need a second mortgage to buy anything
