Default Would you work this? And what would you charge?

    Hello

    I need more help please!

    Have a lady who wants the following childcare for her 6 yr old son after school - Monday 3.00 - 8.00, Tues 3.00 - 8.00 Wed 3 - 6.30 Thurs 3.00 - 6.30 and Friday 3.00 - 8.00.

Would you take this on, if so what would you charge??

The hours are unsocial for me as I have a 4yr old and a 2yr old.

    I currently work:

    Monday - 9.30 - 5
    Tuesday 1.40 - 6.10
    Weds - 7.30 - 5.00
    Thurs 7.30 - 4.30
    Friday 7.30 - 5.00

I also look after an 8 yr old after school who comes random days 3.25 till 8.15 up to 3 days a week.

Do you think i would be mad to take this on? And is it fair to my children?

    Thanks all

    Hope it all makes sense?

Hmmm, I probably wouldn't only because at the moment you would only be working til 8ish 3 days a week. Committing to a possible 5 is alot of work and would affect your family time.. If it happened to be on the 'random' days you are already working then I think it would be ok but I definitely wouldn't to be doing it 5 days a week. Only you know how it is working for your family at the moment..... sorry I probably haven't been much help. Good Luck xxx

    Hi

Don't think I would personally as I have an nearly 11 year old and 2 year old and it would go into your family time too much and your children may not like it.

It is upto you but for me it would be a no no.

Sorry don't think I have been much help neither.

Personally I wouldn't do it - encrouching on family time!

but if I was I would apply after school session rate until 6pm and then the hourly rate you use for under 5's at time and a half - make sense?

I wouldn't do it personally as I like to finish by 6pm at the latest so that my family can have some time together in the evenings for homework, bath etc. If it was once a week I might but that sounds like a lot to me. I would charge time and a half after 6pm if you do it.

i would do it if its me and would just charge hourly rate or your school pick up plus extra time, my partner works late though so we don't tend to eat til late so it wouldn't bother us and my 4 month old is usually in bed by 7pm anyway
