We had a c8 and hated it cost us a fortune in repair bills supposidly renowned for faults.

It was a fab size for minding but would never consider another one

    I have a Mazda 5 and I love it!
You can only get 2 big car seats accross the middle row, plus a child that doesn't need a booster seat, but you can get 2 proper car seats in the back row seats too. And the middle seat of the middle row moves, allowing easy access to the back.
This probaby doesn't make sense, but if you see one you'll know what I mean.
Mine is 2 litre diesel and very economical.

Don't know if 807 or C8s come in petrol and diesel, but diesels are generally more economical to run, and I know our tax on our diesel is only £125 / year.

Just bear these in mind when looking.

(We have a Citroen C4 Grand Picassa). Only down side is boot space when using 7 seats is very very small.

I use a C8 and have had it from new its '03 reg - It didn't cost me a huge amount in repair bill until last year when I had a problem with the diesel filter it would have cost me a really huge amount if done by a Citroen dealer then I discovered that no non dealer would handle it because of something to do with codes for the computer but later I discovered through one of my mindees parents that there were such places as Citroen Specialists who are approved by Citroen to carry out work on their cars and have all the codes etc etc - anyhow the one I used go my repair down from £800 to £180 including a new part because they took the time to strip the part down and only replace a component also their cost for labour was a lot less than the cost with a dealer. This is a rather common problem in modern diesel cars and I think C8's and the others in the group in particular. There is a Citroen forum you can go on and see what type of problems etc others have but to give yourself a fair assessment I'd look for forums for other makes of 7 seaters.

It is a very comfortable car to travel in and to drive and has lots of extra features including loads and loads of airbags. It also has lots of room for 3 full baby seats in the middle row but I wouldn't put three in the middle row as it takes away access to the back row so if I need a 3rd baby seat I put one in the back row and use one of the side seats for a booster seat. You can also turn off the air bag to carry a child on the front seat but I generally only do that if I am carrying a child in a rearward facing seat and its not convenient to put them on one of the seats on the middle row I don't think I'd like to carry a child in a 1st stage seat on the back row as you have no hope of seeing their faces when they cry when you are driving.

Oh it also has a second mirror that folds down so you can see the LO's in the back while you are driving - I have to say though that you need to remember to fold it back up when you leave the car as the shadows/reflections on it set the alarm off.

I don't think that when it comes to other people carriers and the like that it is too expensive to run.

Oh my also there is lots of room in the back for me to keep a triple, double and single buggy in the space behind the back seats at the same time. I admit that they are all umbrella fold and the triple is a very very basic old fashioned buggy that doesn't lie flat or anything. I also keep reusable shopping bags and blankets in there too.

All in all i think it is fine for my purposes but so I don't jinx myself - I'm not going to say too much - SSSSSHHHHHH don't tell anyone I said anything fingers crossed I haven't jinxed myself.

I have a c8 and as yet no problems...Ithink you are gonna get that with most cars though.

I lvoe it, plenty of room, on 2 of the 3 middle seats i have the britax seats, so big ones, theother i have a normal high back boosteras i need to move that to get other kids in the back.

Genherally the C8 is better than the 807.

Mine is a diesel too .

I fit my double {width ways** and single buggy in the boot.

I had the diesel filter problem too, but it wasstill under warranty so didnt pay.

I wanted one with a big boot and the c8 won it for me.

This, the C8 & the 807 are all the same car so all experience the same problems - in fact the Ulysse went out of production before the C8 (I know it was prior to March '08) C8 went out of production last year - (March '09) I'm not sure about the 807 - if its still in production I'd say its days are numbered.

My sister has the C8 and my parents have the 807 (me I've got the old 806 which is a million times better!)

Yes, you can get 3 large car seats across the back with ease.

The seats are very heavy and awkward to take in and out, my mum tends to leave one back one out but can't lift it back in on her own as it's so heavy. With my 806 I fling the seats in and out all the time.

I love my 807 - wouldn't be without it for the world! The best thing are the sliding electric doors - fantastic in car parks and tight spaces for getting the children in and out. Lots of space. Love driving it too. We have had it 6 yeaers from new and I would definitely get another one.

I'll second this too - brill in car parks - every seat has good leg room too even when full of adults and teenagers.

Hi i have the 807 after lots of looking around we decided on this one.

Its got lots of room inside you can fit three car seats across the back. On the back row there is two more seats that children can access through the boot and the gap is bigger enough for them to fit through. I can fit a single pushchair or a double maclaren into the boot and theres space on top for any bags.

It has electric sliding doors which are great in the car park. The front air bag can be turned off so children can go in the front.

Good luck on finding what you want.
