Default Taking older children to toddler groups

Tomorrow is our school inservice day the rest of the world has had theirs and we are the last. I've checked all the local museums and they are shut on mondays apart from the one we did in the school hols

I'm tempted to take them all to the toddlers I normally go to its a large hall, I will have

    mindee 11mths
DD aged 3 (who would be in nursery but I won't be able to get here there with the others off school!)
    mindee 4yrs (normally in school)
DD 4 yrs (normally in school)
DD 8yrs (normally in school and a quiet helper)

Its either that or I have an action packed day of crafts/baking/park but I thought they might like to go back to a familiar group as the 4yrs started school in sept.

Would you take older ones to toddler groups?

It depends on their insurance... ours only covers up to 5 year olds

I have occasionally taken my eldest daughter as a 'helper' and the others should be ok unless its a children centre as they are up to 5.

We have had older ones at times at our local toddlers, they either bring something to do or help with the planned activity

My poor son spent 7 weeks coming to toddler groups - poor 12 yr old!

He was welcomed at all but I was questioned about it at the childrens centre as they are only up to the age of 5. But they were fine with me taking him as I go there twice a week and have done for 2 yrs now!!

Do you have a contact number for the person who runs it? Maybe give them a call before you leave.
    Helen
