Default Which 1st aid course for assistant?

We are looking at getting my hubby registered as my assistant ( he works part time so is around and about anyway) it would only be to use in the case of school runs if weather awful, children sleeping etc ... that kind of thing.

He is already CRB checked but we thought a 1st aid course would be good to have........ is the paediatric first aid course that we as childminders have to do the best one (mine was with St Johns Ambulance) or does anyone know of any others that are good?

    Thanks

    H

    hi hats ...

i'm a bit hazy on what counties places are in, but if emsworth is in hampshire ( and i think it is? !! ) then, your assistant can do a peadiatric first aid course using your training subscription number. (without the peadiatric first aid he can't be left alone with the children!)

up to 6 people ( i think! ) can do any courses under your subscription number as long as they are connected to your childminding business. ( at least, that was what i understood the lady at EECU in winchester to be saying! ) my assistant is going to have a look at horizons and see if anything appeals to her!

if you are not in hampshire then sorry, i have no idea!

Yes, it is true that when they are staying with children alone they need first aid done ... who else did and where?

Both i think ... if there is no crb check assistant can not stay alone with children ... I heard that they are not allow to work until they have crb but not sure it is legal requiremnets?
