Default Are mindees parents obligated to tell you if..

their child has swine flu? is it an unwritten rule, or would they have been advised to tell people, who are in close contact with the child, by the doctor for example?

A couple of people I have spoken to in the last couple of days think they are obligated to tell me, as their childminder/in close contact/other small children in my setting etc etc

    Your thoughts please..

do you mean if they have had it and are now better. it would be curteous too wouldn't it. If they still have it then they should tell you as they shouldn't be with you... but unless children are swabbed it's often hard to confirm it.

Parents aren't obligated to tell us anything, we must rely on trust. It would be nice if they did though
