you could cut shapes out of puff pastry and decorate with foods, then bake, or make little pizzas from savoury muffins cut in half and spread with tomato puree then veg and bacon etc, make hummous/guacamole with softened veg to dip in as a snack. I tend to give my children 'adult' type meals so they get used to eating a wide range of foods so I don't do many child only foods!! there are some good cookbooks though around in cheap bookshops, dobbies and palces like that that are all to do with cooking for and with children, with snacks and meals!

i have my staple, quick and easy meals,

meatballs cooked in oven with pasta sauce
    stirfry
    fajitas

then alternate with pre-made frozen foods (good quality ones) such as fish in breadcrumbs, healthy pizzas and low fat sausages.

I often use new potatoes - no peeling involved (!) or make my own oven chips but rice and pasta are just easier and time-saving.

    happy cooking!
