how much holiday???

Hi there, i know we have only just got over the xmas hols, but was just wondering how much hols you all have a year?

I was thinking of asking the same thing. Parents dont actually like us having holidays because it's very inconvenient lol Last year I had 4 and a half weeks. One may half term, 2 in aug and 1 1/2 at Xmas. This year I'm not going away so I've told parents I'm having May half term, bank hol week in the summer and 2 weeks at xmas. I charge half for my holidays.

I take 5 weeks hols per year.

1 week at easter, 2 weeks at summer, 1 week in October and then whatever over xmas and newyear.

Never had any problems with parents but then 3 kids are termtime only and I give all the others a list of holidays in the January for that year so they have loads of notice.

Hi, i have just worked all mine out and i am taking 20 days plus all bank holidays!! All my parents are fine with it!! I dont charge for my hols but i am charging half fees for bank holidays this year!

I take a week at Easter, a week in August & 2 weeks at Christmas. I may also have occassional days off, but I try to arrange for the children to come another day if at all possible.

Last year I wasn't needed much and took the most I ever had. It was 10 days in Feb, all of August, Xmas and New year

This year - 2 weeks over Easter, 7 days in August (unless I am not needed) and Christmas and New year

I am having 1 week at easter, not sure about the rest yet. I used to have 1 week at easter, 2 weeks in the summer, october half term and then I close for 2 weeks at christmas, but now my boys have all left school I seem at a loss to know when to have holidays especially as we are not going away. Last year I had one week at easter and one in the summer, but was well and truly ready for the break at christmas!!!!!!!!!!

all of my mindees are term time only so had loads of holiday last year. My mindess are on a retainer so i tell them that i am unable to work 4-5 weeks but its never a problem as they are all off.

Most my families are term time only so i have the same hols as them but for the family that's not i take around 4 weeks a year. Usually 1 at Easter, 2 in the summer and 1 at Christmas (depending on how Christmas falls).
