I'm shocked! While collecting a child from a very popular nursery who was graded 'outstanding' i was given another one of my mindees (who has just started school) to pass on to his parents and i had a peek I was gob smacked to see hardly anything in the book. He was there for over two years and as the EYFS has been in for 16 months there was just one entry under CLL and only a couple of entries in other areas and to be honest most of what was in there was stuff that he has done with me and I sent in copies! How do they get away with it? I know they have more children.but they also have more staff! .......or maybe i'm doing too much. I have a lever arch file for each child that is quite full

I think childminder work harder at this than nurserys i dont think they think they have the time

i think we know the kids more as individuals

maybe one day you could show them what you have not to keep but so they are shamed into doing something about it

My local nursery books are the same... I was shocked when I first saw them too.
