I've attached a copy of my first real observation. Can anyone see anything else I should be putting on there?

That is lovely!

The only other thing I would add is a note about why you were doing the activity...

We explored Diwali / the child has been exploring Diwali at school / we talked about hand painting / we looked at mehndi art on the internet after the child painted his hands during a painting session / we read a book about Diwali and the child was inspired to... / the child was interested in Diwali after watching xxx on the TV / the child's mum said he is really into sticking and gluing at the moment so I thought I would extend his interests by... Ofsted like parent comments.
