Can you help me link learning my name...

I have looked through the guidance & can not for the life of me find this link.

Child is 20months & has recently lernt my name rather than calling me mummy.

Language for communication - 22 - 36 months -

Learn new words very rapidly
and are able to use them in
communicating about matters
which interest them.

Sometimes there are no words in the Eyfs to say what the child has done and you have to choose the closest.

Have you got photos of you, other people in your household, his parents and significant others in his life?

You could start a little album for him which he can look at independently and say everyone's name

Thanks Sarah - we have lots of photo's on display & have pics of lo's family so we chat about collection etc. I have written that I will continue to expland lo's vocab by doing this so all was well in the end.

I think sometimes the answers to the EYFS are staring you in the face & you (well I ) can't seem to see for looking!!
