Default does anyone have a policy...

which says that if you are sick and cant work because parent sent a sick child into your setting and you caught if full fees are payable by this parent??
(that is if you dont usually charge if you are sick??)

    mozarella's post got me thinking...
is there anything you can do? or is the only way to deal with it to get child picked up asap once you notice something isnt right? although by then you might have already caught it??

not sure if there is anything that can be done or if this is just something that comes with the job??

It would be very difficult to prove that it was one particular child who made you ill.

And what if the parents thought their child had caught an illness from someone in your setting? Would you be happy for it to work the other way & for them to say they're not paying you for their child's time off because they caught an illness from you?

Unfortunately it's just another of those annoying little things to put up with...then come on here & grumble about!

Part and parcel of working with children unfortunately, but to be honest bugs go around you can't single one child/person out to be the only one to pass it on, just use lots of anti bac wipes, gel and spray the door handles, toilets daily with oust/dettox, best you can do.
