Default GETTING IN THE MOOD - CHRISTMAS SONGS

    Soooooooooooo .......................

What christmas songs do you like

Do they drive you mad in the shops or do you like them

Do you play any at home over the christmas period

My favourite christmas song is Little Drummer Boy.

The David Bowie/Bing Crosbie version used to be my favourite, but now it's this one (ignore the lottery chat at the beginning!) I play it all year round!

This is my second favourite christmas song

I'm probably a bit strange because I can't stand Wham's Last Christmas, Slade's Merry Christmas Everybody or Wizzard's I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday.

I am strange too - I love the old rhymes - When Santa Got Stuck Up the Chimney, Christmas is Coming the Geese are Getting Fat etc..

My favourite adult song is Please ccome Home for Christmas. My dad worked away and we made a video tape for him saying HC and this was playing all the way through in the background.

I clicked your second link and am now sitting here sobbing my eyes out. My dad loved that song - he was a devout Catholic, passed away 3 years ago last week. I remembering singing it with him and dancing round the room.

My Christmas CD's are stored in the loft with the decs and they come down and up next weekend I can't wait. I then play them throughout from when the decs go up until they come down on New Years Eve. I have a CD player that takes 5 CD's at a time so I just put in a selection and put it on shuffle and away they go.

I love Jim Reeves Silver Bells and Bing Crosby's White Christmas.
    love Kate
