Hi daisyboo,
I have had my own website for about 4 years and had very positive feedback. I think parents like to be able to have a look at some information about you before they contact you.
There are lots of different companies offering websites, I think Vistaprint now do a cheap one. I was quite happy to make mine myself and I had to register my domain name and then pay for site hosting it costs me about £35 per year. You can see mine here: (I hope we are allowed to put links in

Sorry Carolejayne to be fair to everyone I had to remove your link as the rules state that websites must have a link back to the forum.

daisyboo - I alsom make websites for childminders if you struggle to do your own. They cost from only £35 including hosting and you don't have to do anything except provide the information
More here: www.childminderswebsites.co.uk
I've done quite a few for members.

Hi
This is mine http://www.kerrieschildminding.webs.com/ has link back to this forum too.
Mine was done through
http://www.webs.com/
Its free and you can design it how you like. You can pay a fee to remove bits . Not that hard to use . When parents come for initial visit I give them a business card so they can look at swettings from their own home.
Hope this helps.
