Working in a creche tomorrow!

I have just been rung up by the council and asked to work in the creche on a Wednesday for 2 hours for the next 6 weeks!

I can do tomorrow as I have no mindees and they will allow me to take Ella along. Im not sure about the other weeks as G will be with me on a Wednesday from next week so I would have to get permission from her parents.

£10 per hour too! There will be 18 kids from 3 months - 5 years and 4 adults!

Was you on a list then, had you applied to the council for this type of work?

No, they were ringing round local childminders to see if anyone could help.

I cant wait, it will be really good fun and I think Ella will love it too.

They do this in our area too but I can never do it due to the kids I mind and the hours etc

I used to do a creche it was great fun!

Check what facilities they have and what toys they are offering though, as ours was very badly provided for and I took a lot from home - playdough, paper etc went down well

Gosh Sarah you are too good altogether why are you providing the council with resources they should be able to get loads from sure start.

You will love it! I work in a creche twice a year for children with Fragile x syndrome! Bloomin hard work, but i love it and you get to see how much they have progressed since you last saw them!

I have just gone on the supply list for creches at our local early years centre. Figured it would be another string to my bow.
