Default might be a dumb question..........

    but

I am registered to care for...

    3 under 5's
    3 5's to 8's

If i fill all my spaces say with a 1 yr old 3 yrs old and 4 yr old, 5 yr old 6 yr old and 7 yr old

what happens when the 4 yr old turns 5 ?? do i have to apply for a variation??

    just wondered

Any chance your 7 year old will be turning 8 around that time?!?

And just when you think you finally get the 'numbers' bit, you get confused all over again.

Sounds like a perfect opportunity for a variation to me, just as long as you dont go over your 6 under 8 yr olds. But what do I know, I am still new to this game!!!

I would have thought your certificate says you can care for no more than 6 under 8's, 3 of which can be under 5. So it doesn't matter if none of them are under 5 as long as you have no more than 6 under 8. HTH
