The results are in from my 1st interview - I got it!!!!

I have just had a phone call from the mum who came to see monday morning and they have chose me

To start in June 2 days a week (baby will be 6 months then) then increase to 3 days in September.

Mum made my head swell with all the lovely things she said about me

They are coming Tuesday to sign contracts etc

Thanks for all the help I got last week getting ready for this visit

Out of interest, are you charging a retainer or just a deposit?

I have some parents this afternoon and another lot on Monday both who want a July start. Am thinking of just charging them a deposit as I am happy with the days I work at the mo and it would break me in gently not to be full till July!

I have said 1 months deposit on signing contacts - they would only lose that if they failed to start in June. Obviously they will have paid for June in advance so I'm going to try not to touch that money until June otherwise come June I'll feel like I've worked a month for nowt!! - Did that make ANY sense?

I know!! She sounded so clever and posh on the phone I felt really intimidated by her

but when I met her and her husband they were lovely - just goes to show you never can tell!

I sound dead 'scouse' on the phone but I can assure you that in real life I sound just like the Queen

She was probably using her telepha single voice....I have one of those
