sure Sarah has an e-book about dinosaur themes - one of the top 20 themes I think when I had a quick peek at her library before.

However, off top of my head. Older children could make papier mache moutains on a big board to paint and make yoru own dino land.

Free-paint scary dino pictures with big teeth.

put your dinos outside in the sand/water. Get some real leaves to put out for them and some pretend meat to show which eat meat and which don't, which chase the others and which eat trees.

Dino fact book from library, identify what names your plastic ones are.

Try to pronounce the names - even I have trouble with most of them! Might make a good game? Which ones start with same letter, end with 'saur.

Dino top trumps for older children?

Pretend to be different dinosaurs, heavy footed, flying, loud, quiet with some good music in the background maybe.

Have fun. Need to get mine itnerested in dinos as I would love to do this theme!

You could combine this with play dough to add texture to the mountain. If you've got some toy dinosaurs you could make foot print trails in the play dough.
