    Question How come ....

I have been looking at all the threads on tax and most of you say to keep your earnings below 5.4k... i would have thought you would want to earn more than that...? i know you don't have to pay tax if you earn less than 5.4

I think it is more about keeping your profit under 5600 not your total income.

Yes sky high in the holidays, taking 6 children and myself to the cinema today will go through the books.

Perhaps i should take them for two weeks in Orlando in the summer, that should see me running at a loss:

I put the cost of Isabelle for things like outings to wacky etc... If I wasnt taking mindees then its an expense I wouldnt maybe otherwise incur so I see it as resonable to claim for her. But not for things like food I dont

Thumbs down Re: How come ....

Its all a swizz. I think if your numbers are restricted by the age of your own children then I can't see why you can't claim expenses for them because you are effectively paying yourself to look after your own child by them taking up a place. This doesn't apply to me because mine are 10 & 12 so I can have full quota of children and therefore my earning power is higher than yours so I say go for it.
