Hello, information on funding for childminders please

This is my first post on any forum.

could anyone tell me of any funding available, i am finishing with children in July and starting with new ones in September, i have six weeks with no pay and am going to financially struggle.

Sorry I can't help. Don't know of any kind of funding for self employed people. Maybe you are entitled to job seekers if you sign on.

I have heard of something called a sustainability grant, it isnt much, in my area its something like £60 a week ( or £12 per day for the vacancy that you have) I heard about through our local childminding network, you could contact yours to see if they still do it. In my area you cant claim for the first 2 weeks that you have the vacancy and you can then claim for up to 5 weeks, they also say that you have to be actively advertising your vacancy etc etc.
May be worth a try
