    Default Maternity Allowance

Does anyone know where I can find out if it is increasing to 12 months (52 weeks) paid in April 2010 and if so when in April? Would due date have to be after this date or does it change for everyone who is pregnant at the time?

Have tried direct.gov.uk but stil states 39 weeks

Currently TTC #2 not having much luck but could work out well if this increase is coming in next year

Just rang Job Centre Plus, who gave me the no. for Maternity Allowance people who finally said that they didn't know

After a bit of trawling the web I finally found a government document that stated that although they were planning to increase it further to 52 weeks (both SMP and MA) by 2010 this was not a definite date

Doesn't look likely but if anyone needs to keep the no. handy it's 0845 6088 780
