variation request

Have just posted a variation request form to have 4 under 5's after school once a week from September. Made sure I used the phrases 'continuity of care' and 'risk assessment' in my request. Can anyone tell me how likely it is to be granted and how long they'll take to let me know. Do they let you know in writing?

Will you have more than 6 under 8? Are any of the 4 year olds at school?

It would give me 7 under 8's but only for an hour or so after school and not every week as two of them are siblings and parents do shifts. Also two of the children come to me after the school run so no extra risks involved.

I have just been granted a variation for 4 under 5's, 2 days a week (waiting for paperwork). However, this mean't with my own children I would have 7 on one of the days after the school run. They said you can't have more than 6, so I have had to arrange one of the under 5's going home at 2:30. She said that's fine as now back to 6.

Probably not, but Ofsted are an entity to themselves - so who knows?
