Inspection Report

I kept it very quiet but I had my inspection on Thursday 31st January (day after my Aunt's funeral).

I didn't say because I didn't want the added pressure of everyone knowing and I was glad that I hadn't as I was not allowed to tell anyone of the results until the report had been published on the Ofsted Website.

I have just checked and it is there ....so now I can tell the whole world.

You will understand why I am exstatic and over the moon when I tell you that I got................

OUTSTANDING


In some of the posts I have made over the last 10 days I have added that I know of a person who had their inspection and blah blah blah............well that person was ME

I did have to tell Pauline, Angel & Sarah as I couldn't keep my mouth shut........I just wanted to scream it from the roof tops!!!

Well done you you should be very proud of yourself, its not easy to achieve outstanding, you must have put in a lot of hard work and effort.

Hard work.......

I also think it is important to 'sell' yourself.

The lady who inspected me is notorious for hardly ever giving Outstanding........out of all the inspections she has done over the last 18 months only a handful have received Outstanding.

At the end of the inspection she stated that I had evaluated myself as Outstanding and what did I think that gave me the 'wow factor'.....what made me different from other minders.

I spent over half an hour telling her what made me different and why I deserved that grading. I also had to back this up with evidence that I had to show her to prove it as well. I was really nervous at this point as it was really tough.

When I had finished she then turned to me and said "well Dee...I happen to agree with you and will grade you as Outstanding".........at this point my legs couldn't support me anymore and I fell into the chair
