The nice side of minding

I had a lovely experience today with a parent. I have just recently started to care for a girl aged 9 after school twice a week. She is really lovely and loves the babies i care for and gets on with everyone.

Her mum sent me a card with her payment for May which said how much her daughter was enjoying her time with me and thanking me so much for looking after her.

It was so touching as i have only been minding her for two weeks!

Just wanted to show that yes, we moan about parents sometimes but, there are some jewels out there too who really appreciate us

Thank you for posting something nice, i have only had moans and not nice things over the last few days, that have really made me question why i do this job, why i am not tougher with it all, and whether i want to carry on.

Ahh, its great to work for parents who think of doing those nice things, Ive had some who just saw me as some kind of skivvy and was looked down on, where as all the others have been really nice
