Default Sand & Water (Messy Stuff) Table - Advice Needed

Okay ladies, I need to pick your brains. I am after a reasonable price sand/water play table.

    So what are you recommendations.

    Thanks in advance.

I have a plastic table... boyfriend cut the middle out with a jigsaw.

Then we put in a cat litter tray.

Works great for 2 or 3 children we've had all sorts in there.

There's a pic in my photos on www.knutsfordchildminding.co.uk website.

Just saw this look at the difference in price

You need to scroll down to the bottom - some good prices for spades etc on this site

    I love your idea Sarah.

I think I'll look out for a table at the car boots.

Washing up bowls come in useful for messy play, children can have one each!

I got one in Costco a couple of years ago and just got a large water play sink with a battery operated pump tap. Can't wait to unpack it!

I also use an old baby bath as well as washing up bowls.

I have had a few over the years! I now have a step 2 sand tray which is on legs at about the right height for 2-6 yrolds (and the babies can't fall in ) and it has a good lid which is held on by elastic at either end.
I have also just bought a step 2 water sink with pump tap (probably the same as RickySmith's) and I can't wait to use mine Last year I bought a big tray from Ikea which was only a few £'s which I used for water, pasta, stones, soil, lentils and rice, infact anything you can think of

I had one of these (blue and yellow) I loved it but had to get rid as i couldn't ever get the lid to snap into place to use as a water table as I haev weak wrists and also it became so full of water inside that it was too heavy for me to lift off at times oh and I agree sand and water not good next to each other
    love Kate
