How soon do I need to do a fire drill

I only have 1 mindee (17mths) on a thursday morning and another adhoc older chidl in the evenings when should I do a fire drill?

Do one when you have the 17 month old and then do another with the after schooler. Log it showing who was present at the time and note anything that you could do to improve.

Talking about it with a younger child first is a good idea, explain to them about the noise what it will sound like and what happens. Talking through the fire drill is still fire practice

I settled mine in for a couple of weeks before doing it though

I do mine with the children monthly

I always do a fire drill on the first day of a mindee starting then every month when i remember i always log the alarm with the date and names of children present
