Over 8's.

In September this year will we have to have over 8's on our register as I asked the Ofsted inspector yesturday and she said "no, we will not be looking at over 8's in the future". But I am sure I read on here, or somewhere that Ofted will be looking at over 8's in the future. Is the right or is she wrong???
As she was sure that OFsted don't and won't be involved in over 8's and this was when we were discussing the new changes.

I really do not understand your inspector's answer.

I have not read anything to suggest what is happening now will change... we can look after over 8s, but we are not now and will not be, in the future, inspected on our care of over 8s... as far as I am aware...

But we will need to be on the voluntary over 8s register if parents want to claim tax credits

That's great Sarah, Thanks. My inspector was correct then. She did say that OFsted won't be looking at 8 year olds in the future, It was my mistkae this is what I thought would happen.
