    Default PRINTING - YOUR PAPER

Just out of interest I was wondering what everyone uses

Do you use nice expensive paper ( like I used to back in the days when I didnt have a clue ) or do you use whatever is a bargain

For your folders - policys etc and the kids folders I mean

    Anyone seen any bargains anywhere

I usually buy packs of 500 sheets

I usually buy mine in Asda or Tesco for about £2.50 for 500 sheets. The policies etc I give to parents are in display books in pockets anyway so they can't tell the quality of the paper

I get through loads of it though and wondered if there was a cheaper way

I buy from tesco about 2.47 per realm ... some places like ESPO or printing shops have paper which can work out cheaper but you would have to phone a few to find the best deal
or you can contact a local printers, say you are a childminder and can you have there scraps - be cheeky and you may get lucky lol Often they will donate you some large paper

I work in a nursery in the mornings and we are very lucky to have a parent who works at a printers

I buy Tesco Value paper £2 ish about the cheapest i've seen. It's the ink that costs!! My printer won't take refills.

We get ours from Viking. It does cost a bit more(£3-4) for 500sheets, but I didn't like the very filmsy paper I found that once the pages in my portfolio had been sorted a few times they began to look tatty.

I buy my HP printer cartridges from Tesco also and work out quite a bit cheaper.

If you have an epsom printer i would recommend throwing it away as they leak all other cartridges you buy !!

I buy from tesco or bookworks, sometimes staples have it on offer too

The ink costs a fortune but still, I did make one cartridge last me 14 months then went through two since september 2008 till now redoing policies printing 11 copies of each for parents to have and coursework too.

I think I'm going to ask parents for email contacts in future so I can email policies to them and let them do the printing.

I usually just grab whatever when I go shopping, like - oh there's paper, need some more of that and I never bother to look at the price
The one i have at the moment is HP 500 sheets. I think they were 2.50 - half price in Sainsbury's
I do avoid tesco value paper though.

I bought HP paper in Asda. It was on special offer 2 for £3. It is quite thin though.

I also bought Tesco premium paper. That is thick and look professional when using it in my policies/permissions booklet that I give to parents.

Usually ASDA, or anywhere if it is on offer.

Tesco Finest at the moment as it was all they had when I was doing shopping and needed it that day. Very nice though

    I use morrison's cheapest paper £1.79 for a pack of 500 sheets
I generally use http://www.choicestationery.co.uk/special_offer.asp for my hewlet packard cartridges when I buy new (compatible ones) though I refill my own approx 6 to 8 times before I need to buy new ones.
I've just got a new epson printer. Our preschool has an epson and I generally find that http://new.ukdvdr.co.uk/ are often the cheapest for epson compatibles.

I buy this too - it's fine for most things

Do use slightly more expensive paper for colour printing though

I'm lucky - my hubby does the stationary order at work and just pops on an extra box each time - so we get a free box of 5 reams of 500 sheets every time. I don't buy any stationary as he gets it all for me. It would cosy me a fortune otherwise!!!

My hubby is a printer- he doesn't get any freebies but buys the paper at cost price (and card).

My printer is a Brother DCP115C - I buy the inks off ebay really cheaply.

You guys are so lucky! The cheapest stuff jams my printer

I got some recycled paper a while ago but it was a funny colour.
