    Default drawer locks

I live in a privaetely rented flat, i cannot make any modification to the flat (drilling etc) i do not have any drawer locks on my cutlery drawer i have a stairgate at the door so they cannot go in the kitchen.

Would Ofsted except this, THE Inspector didnt ask at my last inspection and am worried it is something i will need to sort out. The knifes are at the back of the drawer behind the cutlery tray.

    Hi Jo
I couldn't fit the screw in ones on mine just because they wouldn't fit and I use these ones form Mothercare. I alos have stairgates on my kitchen and Ofsted it was great that I had it double protected.

    Hope this helps

It is not a requirement of Ofsted to make you do anything. As long as you can justify why you don't have the locks, i.e. stair gate, then you are fine.

I have never had drawer locks ever and I only have cupboard lock on the cupboard under the sink where I keep my cleaning stuff. Ofsted have always been fine with this and 1 inspector commented that the drawer locks weren't any good anyway.
