I don't have a policy just an assistant permission form saying that the children can be left at times and asking for permission and also permission for the assistant to have access to my records.

I have a staff hand book.... With all my policies in. And a very detailed Health and Safety policy!!!

It also has details of children e.g allergies health problems, and any dietry requirements.

A list of instructions when i am absent (school runs) i.e accidents, signing in and out, observations, medication etc
    emergancy evacuation plan
All contacts for NCMA and Ofsted
    Information about NVQ
    Any risk assessments
    RIDOR information
    Complaints procedure and record form
    Booklets of safe guarding children
    NCMA booklet about EYFS
and finally some sheets I have from NCMA about employment topics with websites such as minimum wage, pensions, employee rights, national insurance etc.

I might add that they sign tha they will keep themselves up dated on current information and that I only provide the basic info

Hope this helps. please ask me more questions if you need to.
    Good luck
