I have just made myself look sooooooo stupid!

I had an interview with a family who need care for their twins. We're chatting away, getting on really well. Then the lady says "oh, dont you need special permission from Ofsted to have twins" and I said that I didnt think so, Id never heard it. She said "oh yes, at my Twins Club they said you have to have special permission". I said I didnt think so but that I would look into it. Then she says "oh you know..because they are both under a year old"!!!! I didnt even think of that!! How dumb is that??? I think Ive just lost a potential customer!

I do things like that... open my mouth sometimes and totally forget to engage my brain... don't despair, it gets worse as you get older

Update...this lady has sent me and email AND phoned to arrange another appointment to meet her husband...I think Im chickening out!

On a serious note though - do you reckon Ofsted would give me the variation? Thing is, I was planning on asking for a variation to go over my numbers..not to have two under 1s!!

oh and well done- the "idiot" moment obviously worked then - wondering if that is a good marketing ploy or not!! lol glad they have come back to you
