Sorry not sure what you mean...?
I've not heard of these. can you describe them please. Thanks.
They are little pictures on a piece of paper about 3" x 3" and they have pictures on them. The ones I have are: Inhaler, toothbrush, apple, banana etc. If a child has trouble communitcating they can just pick up a card and point to it.
I only have a few and that's why I wanted to increase the cards that I have
Thanks for that. I havent had to use them in that way.
I have a set of cards a little bigger than a standard playing card which I got with a childrens CDRom from D.K. years ago. The set has 26 cards with letters on one side and objects on the othe ranging from apple to train etc. I use these with the children in numerous ways.
I have a set of those as well, they are great aren't they
The ones I have also have a picture of a toilet, sad face, poorly face, tissues, a clock (in case they need to know the time) etc.
Another word for these are Pecs (Pictoral educational communication system) i think!!you could google this and see what comes up, i know they are used alot in schools with children with poor communication skills.
I got some fab free ones from : www.theequaloppshop.co.uk they are B.S.L but the children all use sign along with speach. Great for babies too!! thumbsup:
