Question Help with completing first NCMA contact please

Hi, it's that old chestnut of bank holidays again Just don't know what to put for these even though I am clear as to what my policy on public holidays, sickness etc are

On page 2 of 3 in the top right hand corner under the CHARGES section it says Rate inclusive of payment for statutory public holidays? YES NO

Then further down bottom left under the ADDITIONAL CHARGES it says Statutory public holidays £__________

    and finally ...........

At the bottom bottom right under CHARGE FOR ABSENCE it says Due to Child/parent/guardian illness/occasional days off £______
Childminder paid time off ______ weeks £_____
    Parent/guardian holiday ______ weeks £_____

Sorry I'm completely confused with these bits in the contact. Can someonr help me fill in the blanks and answer the yes/no bits?

This is what my policies are:

If me/my family are sick - no fee
If I'm on holiday - no fee
If child/parent is sick - full fee
If child/parent on holiday - full fee
If the public holiday falls on a contracted day - full fee

I usually put something in the notes box which explains what you have got in your policies and then in the other sections you mention I put "see notes box"

Just make sure you cover all the times you want paying for at the rate you charge.

    hope that makes sense

I write full fee payable in those little spaces about illness/parent holiday. And then re-iterate that in the additional notes section

In bank holidays I write the hourly rate payable if they require me to work which is £7.

    Sorry!

But is my rate inclusive of payment for statutory public holidays then?

Sorry it's my first contract and "we're not at home to Mr Cockup"

I always put "no" against this as I don't work bank holidays and if I decided too I would charge a higher rate.

I can't say I've ever fully understood that bit of the contract - I think it's misleading, if you tick yes then parents may think they can bring their child on a bank holiday

Just make sure that you have covered everything in the notes box

This question means do you charge a slightly higher hourly rate throughout the year to compensate for not charging for bank holidays! I charge for bank holidays so my answer to this is no! Then lower down on the contract in statutory public holidays I put £3.50 (if not working) £5.00 (if working - at my discretion).

    Hope that makes sense

    As above,

its only inclusive if you work it for the same hourly rate as your normal days
