Just bought a funky bright red ring sling to cart a 5 month old round in to save having a triple buggy

tested it out this afternoon on a 12mo and it was fab, she loved it!! SO light too, didn't strain my back, had her on my hip at first, then swung her on my back and we washed up, she absolutely loved being high up and seeing me wash up

I'll be recommending Freedom ring slings to everyone now!

i've got one!!! i bought it for george on holiday last year and it was great when he was asleep when we got off the plane - although he didn't like being in it because he hates being bound up - one of those babies you could never swaddle!!!!

sounds like a great idea, where did you get it?

A couple of my parents are African and they carry their babies on their backs in a towel, they sleep for hours like that!! Lol bless em

thanks so much for that, saw a lady with one on sunday......had my new mindee (aged 6 weeks) for a visit today and thought how useful it would be to have one, especially with 2 toddlers in the house

I used one for my youngest, until he was about 18 months old, then he moved into a backpack.

I used a Maya wrap for my DD until she was at least 2. I took it out of retirement when I had a mindee at 6 months who needed to be held a lot.

I am a big fan, whichever sort you use. They're amazing for wearing the baby but still having free hands.

I fell down some steps and my DD didn't even wake up!

Not that I recommend falling or anything but they are more secure than they are in your arms or a buggy.

well someone said to me yesterday oh no what if you fall? I said, well what if baby is in a buggy and I fall and buggy goes rolling down the hill into the road or canal etc? Same diff

Obviously wouldn't use it when it's icy out that's just common sense anyway

I slipped on wet leaves once when holding ds hand he was 2 and I fell on him lol, he was fine anyway

I was more of a state than he was!
