Smile our trip to Chatham Dockyard

We got there a little late but the weather held. I took S to walk around a large gun ship and the sub which he seemed to enjoy. we also looked at how they made rope which all the kids (mine) enjoyed watching and participating in. they also were given a length (shame S didn’t get picked for that as they only needed a couple of kids.
The bloke who did the tour was fantastic; he put the old English accent on and mannerisms. Some of the other children (not in our group) were being a bit c##@y with what they said and the bloke reacted well towards it. It was very funny!!

    Have a look!

My goodness - my sister used to take me there when I was a little girl (there is 17 years age gap). She used to live in Chatham - her ex hubs is (now ex) navy. Used to get to go on all the submarines and ships - Chatham, Plymouth, Portsmouth.

Take some pix next time and bring back some memories for me!! Wow

I love it there, problem is my youngest is very keen on the Navy One of his obsessions and always asks the guides really technical questions which often they can't answer.
