Returning after sickness
Hello. I'm new to the forum, have been minding about a year and wanted to ask about opinions on children returning after being unwell. I care for a two year old girl who I sent home on Wednesday after two hours because she was coughing, snotty, had a temperature and her breathing was rattley, her dad texted that evening to day she had had a tracheal tug (the second this year) caused by a viral wheeze/infection and has been put on steroids and an inhaler. I look after her brother before school and when they were dripping him off, said that she would be back tomorrow. It seems a little soon to me, as i think she needs rest and she would still be infectious. I'd appreciate other childminders opinions on what they would do in this situation.

If a child cannot cope with the normal daily routine they need to be at home ... that's my rule.
I hope that helps
