    Default Linked smoke detectors

Hi guys. Are linked smoke detectors a requirement for childminders? Lived in my last house for 8 years and had them but recently moved and the new property doesn't (I have them but not linked) it's playing on my mind!

Linked as in one goes off the rest in the house do?

I've got 'single' smoke detectors all over the place and no comment was made from the inspector. I had the local fire station officer do a check a year or two back so he saw what I currently use.
