Default Child speaking English as a second langauge

What do you do for a toddler who speaks English as a second language?

    What is expected these days?

I have labelled the toy boxes in English and Lithuanian
    I have dual language books
Parent has recorded message in Lithuanian on one of my recording boxes.
Parent translated book into Lithuanian (soounds out so I could read it in English and it sounds out in Lithuanian if that makes sense)

Check the National Strategies documents...a huge resource for providers who have 'bilingual' children in their settings

Also it may be useful to chat to parents ...many do not wish the children called 'EAL' as bilingual is what they will be!
