Default child protection course made me smile

Was on first part of child protection course this week.

Had to smile at comments made. 3 years ago a french childminder said she would instantly call social services if she saw a child under 5 playing out on the street but when asked how she would react to a child watching porn with her father, her reply was 'well it depends what sort of porn'

This week a nursery assistant in her 50's but fairly new to childcare made me smile. She thought that a 3 yr old turning up at nursery in latest fashion dress and high heeled shoes was abuse and gave it highest score of 10.

I know child protection issues arent black or white but it did make me think on way home

............and to think how Liz Truss used to bang on about how much better the French childcare system is.

Much as I hate Peppa Pig, it would still be my preferred choice over 50 Shades of Grey. I'd obviously be rubbish as a childminder in France
