    My daughter in law is looking at becoming a childminder. What is the step by step procedures she needs to do. What courses and how long does this take.

    Hi, she needs to contact her local authority and do the course. It can take up to six months or more to even start, so she needs to be committed to it.

    Contact local authority/council it can take absolutely ages I'm coming up to the 12 months from enquiring and I'm only at the dbs stage (waiting on partners dbs ) then make the application to ofsted so still quite a way to go ......
