    Talking Excuse of the day!

Child A took a toy off child B.

I asked if he could give it back as B was playing with it.

He said "I can't. I've got a bone in my leg!"

I haven't heard that for years and it sounded so funny coming from a 3 year old who was so serious about it

Thought my generation was the last to use that one: lovely to see it's still in circulation.

It ranks alongside the answer to the eternal string of "why?" "why?" "why?"................

    ...........cos Y's not Z, and that's final.

Never heard those sayings. My Nan used to say 'Cut it out!' a lot.

My teacher used to say "because of the dogs".

We never understood it, but then we never understood his lessons either.
