neither did I!!!...all the jargon tends to be very confusing!!!
never used a SIC because I have never encountered one or heard of it???
I use the SEF.....I tend to concentrate on L&M for self reflection...not just about EE but also VAK and CoEL and other tools
I tend to use CPD to base my SR on and SMART
Never seen a tick list for doing SR...is it a LA one? is it just for the physical environment or much more?
Jokes apart...can you share a tick list for enabling environments...I would like to see what they are used for
Thank you

Here is a link to one Simona.
Personally I wouldn't waste my time doing it. It is very American anyway. Why use a set of paperwork that isn't even geared to be used in our settings? We have enough to do without subjecting ourselves to more that isn't even required and I don't suppose Ofsted will even take any note of it as Inspections are Child Based now and not Paperwork Based.
Sorry Mama2three

I use Tapestry on line learning journals and use Leuven Scales on all of my observations.

don't be sorry RS , I was doing my sef and felt that observing how ' involved' the children were in the activities Id set up would be good evidence. I didn't do all the tickbox parts , but used it in a way that did reflect my setting...
And if only all inspectors were doing child based inspections , but we hear all too often about those who still hide in the dining room with paperwork and laptop....And of course we could complain afterwards but by then its too late !
