    Default Home made lava lamp

Dd came home with this today might be good for older mindees ..half Fill a glass with water , add food colouring and then vegetable oil and then salt .. Ta da! We have transferred to a plastic bottle so she can keep it.. It's not working quite as well, but maybe it would if we made it there in first place ? It's well cool!

I have a few of these in my sensory bottles ... baby oil works well and you can add glitter or sequins

BUT if a dear child really shakes it hard and breaks up the oil it never really goes back to how it was !
